EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Oct ’04 to Jan ’07 Document Controller Sheppard Robson Architects, London, UK I provided administrative support for the Urban Regeneration sector, a team of 30+ architects. My duties included: -Submitting planning applications as hard copies and via project extranet websites -Submitting other drawing issues then completing the associated paper and electronic records -Administrating project extranet websites including file manipulation -Supplying on the job training to other members of the document control team -Assisting with the recruitment of new members of staff While in this position, I was appointed fire warden for my building and managed Sheppard Robsons’5-a-side football team. June ’03 to Oct ‘04 Accounts Administrator Wilton of London, London, UK I maintained regular contact and built a rapport with customers as well as training, motivating and supervising other members of my team. My duties included: -Introducing and explaining new products then calculating and presenting price quotes -Arranging deliveries and dealing with any shipping problems -Submitting a weekly sales summary While in this role, I played my part in the successful launch of seven new products. In the Sales and Logistics Manager’s absence, I stepped into that role. Extra responsibilities included: -Performing credit checks -Chasing courier companies -Dealing with any other unexpected problems Apr ’01 to Jan ’02 Document Controller Eli Lilly & Co, Liverpool, UK I controlled all official documentation for the Manufacturing Support Group. This involved: -Ensuring the database was up to date and all related paperwork completed -Issuing and tracking training documentation -Maintaining archive areas including cataloguing new items -Flex time management for the Manufacturing Support Group -Purchasing stationary/clothing and controlling any relevant expense categories -Making travel arrangements (flights, hotel accommodation, car hire etc) Dec ’99 to Jan ’00 Administrator Eli Lilly & Co., Liverpool, UK In this fixed term position, I ensured the smooth handover of affairs from the On-Site Maintenance Department to a Facilities Management company. To achieve this: -I completed administrative tasks for both parties -Acted as a mediator when a conflict of interests arose -Controlled two archive areas The handover proceeded successfully. I also assisted in overseeing the installation and maintenance of the new on-site pager system, which included arranging several instructional courses about the system. June ’99 to Dec ’99 Course Initiator and Administrator The Greenbank Project, Liverpool, UK In this fixed term position, I devised and launched a new music course in conjunction with the Drake Music Project - a national charity who provide the opportunity for disabled people to explore, compose and perform their own music. To achieve this: -I arranged several meetings between the two organisations -Conducted surveys with potential students or their representatives -Marketed the course through links with local newspapers and radio stations The launch was a success. I also conducted several post-launch surveys and fine tuned the course accordingly.

OTHER

From February 2007 to date, I have run a part-time artistic venture, creating music and artwork. I designed and built the accompanying website and have sold products in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. I’ve also signed a 5-year licensing deal in the US and have contributed to events in Britain and France. After leaving Eli Lilly in January 2002, I travelled independently through South East Asia, Australia and South Africa until my return to the UK in June 2003. Before December 1999, I worked with several catering and retail employers. While working in these positions I gained invaluable customer service experience.
